KERALA STATE SJD  FINANCIAL ASSIST TO DESTITUTE WIDOW WITH  SCHEME ABHAYAKIRANAM  



Abhayakiranam scheme providing a safe and better living environment to destitute and homeless widows. The Social Justice Department has provides with this scheme monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- to the close relatives of destitute widows who provide protection and shelter to them. In the initial phase the State Government has accorded Administrative Sanction for providing financial assistance to 200 persons at Rs 1,000/- each for 6 months. 

Guidelines for Application

  • The destitute widow's age limit must be above 50 years.
  • Attested copy age proof ( SSLC /Election ID / Aadhar card )
  • Family annual income should be below Rs. 1 lakh. (Income certificate from Village office)
  • The applicant should not be receiving a Service pension or Family pension.
  • The applicant should not be a beneficiary of other schemes implemented through the Social Justice Department.
  • Certificate from concerned Village officer showing that the applicant is a widow and is under the protection of the relative. 

The Application form filled and submitted to the concerned District Social Justice Officer with supporting documents.
